David is a civil rights lawyer, and moved to Baltimore in 2001 to work for the ACLU; Prior to that he worked as a Senior Trial Attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice and as a staff attorney for the ACLU of New Jersey. He has a law degree from New York University School of Law, and a B.A. from the University of Chicago. David was a member of the Park Slope Food Coop (where there is a monthly work requirement for all members!) during the six years he lived in Brooklyn, NY, and hopes the BFC will become a similarly central community institution. He lives with his family in Bolton Hill, and is a past president of the Mount Royal Improvement Association.
