Christianne Schoedel is a pediatric ophthalmologist who practices in York, PA and lives in Roland Park with her husband John Segal and their dog Huckleberry. Her interests/passions are gardening, bicycling (retired runner), wine, the environment, and universal health care. Her abiding passion is that we modern humans understand and respect the interconnection of all life on this earth, and shift our thinking about what constitutes success in life toward living sustainably and honoring relationships instead of things. She and her husband, John, feel incredibly successful in that all of their collective children graduated from college and now are gainfully employed in jobs about which they are passionate (except one who is still in college). Dr. Schoedel is thrilled to be a part of the creation of BFC which will not only support local small farmers and offer a choice of affordable healthy food to the residents of Baltimore, but also promote a more direct connection between people and the source of their food.
